The Cartersville Purple Hurricanes defeated the Woodland Wildcats Friday night by a score of 7-0.

Jake Parker threw a 64-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Ray on the first play of the game. Amari White scored on the Canes next possession. After a Woodland fumble, Khristian Lando scored on a 7-yard run to give Cartersville a 21-0. Parker would throw two more touchdowns in the first quarter to Nasir Granberry and Brynen Wilkins. When the first 12 minutes were in the books, Cartersville led 35-0.

Cartersville would score twice in the second quarter as Paul Gamble threw a 53-yard touchdown to Kendric Price and Dorian Randle scored on a 12-yard run. Cartersville would take a 49-0 lead into the half.

With a running clock in the second half Cartersville and Woodland let many second and third team members see the field. The lone score came on a 7–yard rush from Woodland’s Brandon Montez.
