A candidate for the top job at the City of Cartersville’s Parks and Recreation Department has been announced. The city released a statement Friday naming David Archer, Jr. as the recommended candidate for the post. Following Georgia Statute, the city released the names of the three top candidates for the director-level position 14 days before a recommendation to the City Council.
The City of Cartersville recently posted the Director of Parks & Recreation position. Friday, City Manager, Dan Porta announced his recommendation of David Archer Jr, for the Director’s post. The top three candidates include David Archer Jr, Erik Pabst, and Travis Landram. Porta will present his recommendation to the Mayor and City Council during the December 5, 2024, meeting at 9:00 AM for their consideration.
Archer currently serves as the Deputy Director of Athletics and Services of Parks and Recreation for the City of Cartersville.
