OKINAWA, Japan – The 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade Commanding Officer, Trevor Hall, a native of Cartersville, Georgia, promoted to Brigadier General aboard Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Dec. 28, 2023. Hall was joined by his family for the ceremony with Marines and Sailors of the 3D MEB, and members of the Okinawa-based U.S. military community including III Marine Expeditionary Force and the U.S. Navy’s Task Force 76. Brigadier General Hall graduated from Cartersville High School and entered the Selected Marine Corps Reserve in 1990. He later graduated from Georgia Tech in 1994 and was commissioned in the Marine Corps. Hall’s wife, children, and father (Tom Hall of Cartersville) participated in the ceremony by pinning the General Officer’s stars on his uniform after he recited the Oath of Office. He assumed command of the 3D MEB in June, 2023, forward deployed in Okinawa, and additionally holds the position of Deputy Commanding General for III Marine Expeditionary Force. Brigadier General Hall has served on active duty for over 29 years and has previously commanded platoons, companies, a battalion, and a Marine Expeditionary Unit. His service includes numerous operational deployments to the Pacific, European, African, South American, and Middle Eastern regions.
