This morning around 10:45, Cartersville Police Department received notice of a threat made via social media. The social media post had a photo of the sky and detailed the individual was in the area of Cartersville High School.
Officials placed Cartersville High School on lockdown, and officers responded to secure the area out of an abundance of caution. Officials have since then lifted the lockdown. CPD located no evidence of a credible threat to the high school.
