Stellar Performers
The Matthew Hill-Michael Dean HEARTS Employee of the Month for October (Support Personnel) is Ms. Susan Linsey, the secretary at Kids and Company Pre-K. Susan is always friendly and always has a smile on her face. She bends over backwards to assist everyone. If she doesn’t know the answer to a question, she will find out. One of her nominators wrote, “Susan has been invaluable to me, Kids & Company Pre-K, and most importantly the students. She has helped me navigate my new position here and answered each of my million questions with patience and grace. She is truly vital to me and the Pre-K and I am forever grateful for her.”
New Frontier of Bartow County, Inc. proudly sponsors the Hill-Dean HEARTS Employee of the Month Award and Susan will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to Appalachian Grill, along with her name being added to a perpetual plaque displayed at the Cartersville Board Office.
Linda Benton Students of the Month
Lena Sidibe is the CPS Linda Benton Student of the Month. Lena is in the second grade in Mr. Mitchell’s class. Lena is an outstanding student who is very bright, kind, respectful and helpful to everyone she meets. Lena was not only chosen because of her outstanding qualities, but she also exemplifies the character word of the month initiative. Lena displays initiative because she sees what needs to be done and does it without being asked. She loves to assist Mr. Mitchell in the classroom, helps her classmates when they need assistance, and even cooks for her family. Lena is an all-around amazing student at CPS and is well deserving of the honor.
Jonnathan Carrera-Rios is the CES Linda Benton Student of the Month. Jonnathan is a responsible and respectful student. On the first day of school, Jonnathan walked into class and quickly offered to help get things ready for the day. He is eager to learn and loves being at school, and it shows in his actions each day.
Muhammad Hadbawi is the CMS Linda Benton Student of the Month. Muhammad, a seventh grader, is a great student who is enrolled in all honors classes and making straight A’s. He consistently looks for ways to support other students and help teachers. He is a terrific role model for other students.
Morgan Ingram is the CHS Linda Benton Student of the Month. The CHS word of the month is responsibility, and Morgan exemplifies the characteristics we hope to develop in our students. Last year, Morgan was a CVA student, and he earned all his credits. This year, he has easily transitioned back to normal school. Over the years, Morgan has learned to advocate for himself when he has an issue at school. We are so proud of the growth and maturity he has demonstrated since he entered CHS as a freshman.
Music was presented by the CES Youth Singers under the direction of Jeremiah Robinson.
