Press Release: The Beach at George Washington Carver Park opens Saturday, May 25, from 10 AM-6 PM for the 2019 Summer Season. Hours are Tuesday-Sunday 10 AM-6 PM; though Closed Mondays, the beach is open Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Picnic tables and grills are available; however, no other fires allowed. There is no lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk. Admission is $5.00 per car. George Washington Carver Park, located at 3900 Bartow Carver Rd, Acworth GA 30102, is one of two parks managed by the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau. The other is Pine Acres Retreat. Formerly Girl Scout Camp Pine Acres, the park is now open to the public by reservation and offers cottages, campsites and indoor and outdoor special event venues ideal for family reunions, company picnics, church retreats and more. Additional amenities include tents and cots already in place, a large swimming pool, canoe and kayak rentals, and optional WiFi.
