The Cartersville Purple Hurricanes baseball team was behind after a two-run homer in the first inning, but they didn’t quit. The offense helped Destin Herron and Lane Wilson close out the game with seven unanswered runs in route to a 7-2 victory over the Callaway Cavaliers.
Game 3 was postponed by one day to to weather and then pushed back two hours around noon on Thursday.
Cartersville will travel to Buford on Monday to play a doubleheader in the fourth round with the time to be announced.
