Brent Lynch, of Calhoun, was sentenced to 40 years, with 20 to serve in prison, after pleading guilty to the vehicular homicide that left two adults and a premature baby dead. The Christmas day wreck that occured last year happenEd on Georgia Highway 53 near Mauldin in Gordon County.

The crash resulted in the deaths of April Nacoale Winters and two passengers in her vehicle, Tanika Latrice Ackies, 21, of Cartersville, and 27-day-old Niyla Raine Ackies, also of Cartersville.
Two others in the car, Alexis Gardner, 20, and Ratanza Winters, 20, both of Cartersville, were injured, but survived the wreck.

A passenger in Lynch`s vehicle, Crystal Lynch, of Calhoun, was also injured and later released from a Chattanooga hospital.

Lynch was charged with; three counts of first degree vehicular homicide, feticide by vehicle, two counts of serious injury by vehicle, DUI, driving on the wrong side of the road, and failing to maintain lane.
