christmas village

Press Release

December 16, 2015. Cartersville, Georgia – The Clarence Brown Conference Center received an early Christmas present this year.  It is a fabulous Department 56® Original Snow Village® Christmas Collection that was 30 years in the making, lovingly added to each year by long-time Cartersville resident, the late Zel Burnett.

The village consists of hundreds of vintage houses, shoppes, vehicles, trains and the miniature residents of the village who enjoy the perpetual Holiday cheer of their town.  The village was lovingly reconstructed this past fall for the first time since Mrs. Burnett’s passing in 2014 by her daughter Tracy Earwood and friends.  The assembly started in November and was completed earlier this month.

The Burnett Christmas Snow Village® will be on display in the lobby of the Clarence Brown Conference Center until after the first of the New Year.  Anyone interested in dropping by to enjoy the village is encouraged to do so Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.

The Clarence Brown Conference Center & Georgia Regional Visitor Information Center is located at 5450 Georgia Highway 20, in Cartersville, Georgia, less than 2 miles west of I-75 Exit 290. For more information, call 770-606-5763.
