Twenty-five-year-old Alleya Noel Henry and her attorney, Chris Summers, appeared before Judge Samir Patel on Tuesday morning. Henry is charged with the April 4, 2025, shooting death of 65-year-old Jimmy Lee Morgan. Summers said Henry was acting in self-defense when the shooting occurred. He asked Judge Patel to set a reasonable bond between $100,00 and $150,000. Meanwhile, District Attorney Erle Newton said that while Morgan was having a mental episode, he was minding his own business in the parking lot. He asked Judge Patel to deny bond and, if he did set bond, to set one of no less than $750,000. Judge Patel set bond at $250,000 with conditions.
