Twenty-nine year old, David Lee “Brian” Phillips of 149 Folsom Glade Road, Adairsville was arrested a week ago. Phillips was jailed after the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigators and Homeland Security Agents executed a search warrant at a residence in Adairsville. Both agencies received several leads of possession/distribution of child sexual abuse material. He is charged with 16 felony counts of sexual exploitation of children. The offenses reportedly date back to June 2019.
His attorney asked Judge Suzanne Smith for a reasonable bond saying, Phillips had never been in trouble before, has ties to the community and is gainfully employed. Upon release, he will live with his wife and in-laws in Calhoun.
Meanwhile, the assistant district at attorney said Phillips had only been in jail for a week and they needed to learn more about the case.
Judge Smith denied bond.
