The Matthew Hill-Michael Dean HEARTS Employee of the Month for December (School
Nutrition) is Isabel Salvidar Hernandez. Isabel is very hardworking, dedicated, goes above
and beyond what is asked of her. She is always willing to come in early or stay late if we are
shorthanded. She has an awesome attitude with everyone she comes into contact with. She
is the best of the best.

Linda Benton Students of the Month
The CPS Student of the Month is Alaina Ylvisaker. Alaina is an outstanding student in Mrs.
Willingham’s second grade classroom. She is an outstanding student who exemplifies our
character word of the month, Responsibility. Alaina is a great role model for a responsible
student. She is always seeking and striving for ways to succeed in the classroom. Alaina gives
100% every day and does it with a smile! She is kind and helpful to others and always
encourages her peers to do their best. Alaina is a CPS Little Legacy and has been given the
opportunity to help Mrs. Bishop with morning announcements. I can always count on her to
be on time and ready to lead the school with the pledge as well as our CPS Expectation. It’s
always a great day when Alaina helps with the announcements. Alaina is an all-around
amazing student at CPS and is well deserving of this honor.
The CES Student of the Month is Abraham Meager. Mrs. Hite, Abraham’s teacher shared
that Abraham is one of the first students to come to mind when I hear the word
responsibility. He is always going above and beyond to help others in any way possible.
Abraham is always looking for ways to help his teacher or his fellow classmates. He is a hard
worker and a great student both in the classroom and in his Challenge class. He can also be
found on weekends and special events helping his grandparents run their fruit stand. He is a
model student and citizen who enjoys playing baseball. I am excited to follow the continued
impact that Abraham will make on our community in the future.
The CMS Student of the Month is Lillian Elliott. Lillian is a model student and a joy to have
in the classroom. She excels academically and never ceases to display a caring and positive
attitude. She is a member of the Student Council and District Honor Chorus. Lillian
consistently goes out of her way to help others, always with a smile on her face. She is kind,
respectful, and goes above and beyond on every task. Lillian is truly a friend to all. We
could not be prouder to have her represent CMS as the Student of the Month.
The CHS Student of the Month is Makaylah Scott. Makaylah was nominated by Ms. Boy
who said that even when Makaylah makes a mistake, she has matured into a student who
owns up to her mistake and tries to do better the next time. Ms. Boy said she is so
