Good morning!  Happy Friday, everyone, it’s time for a BIG SHOW Friday edition of Bartow’s Morning News, bringing you the best in news, weather, traffic and sports on your award-winning community radio station.

CartersvillePurpleHurricanesFBhelmetWe have two guest segments today, including the fourth of our Coaches Corner interviews at 7:40AM.  Football Head Coach Frank Barden of the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes will join us in studios to recap last week’s blow-out victory at home over intra-county rival, Cass, by a score of 42-7.  We will then take a look at tonight’s game, on the road to the Rockmart Yellow Jackets.

At 7:50AM, Mac McKenzie will join us to talk about the Big Chicken Chorus, a men’s barbershop group, who will be bringing 20 voices to Cartersville today.  They will be singing to six assisted living homes, the Pine Log Men’s Shelter and Advocates for Children center.  The group will be warming up at the train depot around 8AM with the first performance at 9AM.

Then, in hour three, at 8:40AM, we’ll talk with Joe Schulman, Marketing Director at Tellus Science Museum, about all of the activity coming to the museum this weekend and the rest of the month.

Plus, we’ll play some trivia for the last 4-pack of tickets to Lake Winnepesaukah and we’ll also play for a round of Yellow Box Sandals, too, from your neighborhood Belk store.

Tune in for Fox News at the top of each hour, state-wide headlines from GNN at the bottom of each hour, and local news, weather, traffic and sports in between. It’s all here on your award-winning AM 1450 WBHF.
