Bartow is one of 74 counties in the state with unemployment rates of between 3.0% and 3.9%.  According to data from the Georgia Department of Labor, Bartow’s non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October came in at 3.5% up from last month when the rate was 3.2%, the rate was 3.0% one year ago.  Last month Bartow’s labor force was comprised of 53,737 people with 51,868 employed and 1, 869 unemployed.  Georgia’s unemployment rate for October was also 3.5%, the rate was 3.4% in September and 3.2% in October 2023.  Of the seven counties surrounding Bartow only Pickens and Cherokee had rates lower than 3.0%.  The non-seasonally adjusted rate for the U.S. in October was 3.9%  the rate was also 3.9% in September.
