The Bartow County Board of Education unanimously approved a 2019 tentative millage rate of 18.75 mils during a called meeting at their central office Monday afternoon. This is a 0.1 mil decrease from the 18.85 mils enacted last year.
This means that if the fair market value of your home either stayed the same or dropped, your school property tax will drop. If the fair market value of your home had a significant increase, your school property tax will increase.
The Bartow County Board of Education will hold public hearings on the tentative millage rate on Monday, August 12th at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. as well as on Monday, August 19th at 5 p.m. before voting on a final millage rate on Monday, August 26th.
