The Bartow County School System will hold a public input hearing January 11, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. regarding its application to become a Strategic Waivers School System (SWSS), one of the reform options available for Georgia’s K-12 public school systems. This hearing will be held at the Board of Education, 65 Gilreath Road NW, Cartersville, Georgia.
The SWSS model (formerly known as Investing in Educational Excellence IE2) was chosen as the reform option for Bartow County Schools. This model will allow for flexibility and yet preserve our high quality of academic achievement, student success, and visionary leadership.
The Bartow County School System invites the public to be part of the public input hearing on January 11, 2016, as it prepares to submit this important partnership application and contract to the Georgia Department of Education and the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.
