According to Georgia State Patrol reports, the crash occurred after 12:30 p.m. A 2017 Dodge Caravan was traveling southbound in the right lane of I-75, near mile marker 294.  Initials indications are that that the driver, Michael Sanders, age 58, was driving under the influence of alcohol.  The van left the west side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and then a tree with the front of the vehicle. After impact with the tree, the van overturned onto its left side. One passenger, Teresa Miller, 52, was injured and transported to Cartersville Medical Center. Two other passengers, Toni Miller, 49, and Ephesian Miller, 78, were fatally injured. All are from Port St. Lucie, Florida. Sanders was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, two counts of first-degree homicide by vehicle and failure to maintain lane.
