The Tigers’ offense kept up the pressure in the second quarter. Long powered into the end zone on a short QB keeper, making it 17-0 with 10 minutes left in the half. LaFayette responded with a short rushing touchdown late in the second quarter, closing the gap to 17-7.
With just over a minute left in the half, Adairsville’s offense marched down the field. Five plays later, Long found Colton Sanford for a short touchdown pass, extending the lead to 23-7 at halftime after a missed PAT.
LaFayette opened the second half with a spark, recovering an onside kick and scoring a 46-yard rushing touchdown, cutting the lead to 23-13. However, Adairsville quickly answered when Long connected with Xavious Nalls for a 34-yard touchdown, pushing the lead to 30-13 in the third quarter.
Adairsville’s offense continued to fire as Pullum added a 21-yard rushing touchdown, widening the gap to 37-13 heading into the fourth quarter. Ezequiel Carter sealed the game with a short rushing touchdown, triggering a running clock and securing a commanding 44-13 lead early in the final quarter.
