The Adairsville Tigers (6-2, 5-0) defeated the Gordon Lee Trojans Thursday night 40-7.

With a short field to operate, the Tigers on an 11-yard touchdown run by Jonathan Gough capped off the 48-yard drive. After Gordon Lee failed to score on its first offensive drive, Adairsville continued its hot start. Jamarian Pullum dashed into the end zone for a 47-yard touchdown on a screen pass from Gough. Gordon Lee was close to the red zone on its second drive but Tre Winters intercepted the pass to give the Tigers another possession. Adairsville capped an 11-play, 71-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown run by Ethan Blome.

Pullum continued to be an obstacle for the Trojans. He scored twice more in the second quarter to give Adairsville a 34-0 lead. With about a minute left in the first half, Gordon Lee fumbled the kickoff. Adairsville recovered the ball and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run by Blome. At the half, Adairsville led 40-0.

Gordon Lee scored a touchdown in the second half, but the damage was done. With a running clock in the second half, Adairsville coasted to the finish line.
