The Adairsville Tigers (4-4, 3-1) rallied from 14 points down to defeat the Northwest Whitfield Bruins Friday night 33-17.
Adairsville fell behind early 14-0 in the first quarter, however rallied with a touchdown pass to Braxton Elrod. The Adairsville defense was opportunistic as Westin Crisp had an interception to thwart a Northwest Whitfield drive.
The Tigers scored again on a touchdown pass to Colton Sanford to tie the game up at 14. The Tigers would run the connection of Jackson Jarrett and Sanford again to take its first lead of the day at 20-14, but missed the PAT.
In the third quarter, the Bruins kicked a field goal to cut into the tlead, but Adairsville was able to answer. Braxton Elrod hauled in back-to-back touchdown receptions in the fourth quarter to put the game away and seal the game for Adairsville.
