An Adairsville man charged with the shooting death of his mother is sentenced in Bartow Superior Court. Thirty-five-year-old, William David Fletcher of Adairsville entered a guilty plea in Bartow Superior Court Tuesday. Fletcher pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the 2022 shooting death of his mother, sixty-one-year-old Kelly Fletcher. Medical officials say the drug Kratom combined with Fletcher’s medical condition that causes seizures may have led to the shooting death of his mother. He received a 30-year sentence with the first 12 years to serve incarcerated and the remainder on probation. He will receive credit for time already served.
