On 04-13-2022 the Adairsville Police Department finished a months-long investigation involving Child Molestation, Rape, and Incest. Thirty-two-year-old, Courtney Spears of Casey Street was charged and arrested for having sex with a female under the age of 16. The juvenile was discovered to be pregnant last November after a doctor’s visit for what was first thought to be an unknown illness. After a complex and lengthy investigation the suspect, Spears was DNA tested via a search warrant. A few days ago those results were finally received by the Adairsville Police Department. The DNA test result showed that Courtney Spears was the father of the child.
Detectives immediately moved to secure warrants for Spear’s arrest. He was taken into custody without incident a short time later Spears was transported to the Bartow County jail and booked on 2 counts of incest, 2 counts of rape, and 2 counts of Child Molestation.
