Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe received the opening kickoff, but performed a quick three-and-out. Adairsville’s offense responded quickly as Jonathan Gough connected with Tre Winters on a 45-yard touchdown pass to put Adairsville ahead 7-0 early in the first quarter. The Tigers were equally impressive on their second drive, as Jamarian Pullum scored a 15-yard rushing touchdown to put Adairsville up 14-0 midway through the first quarter.

Adairsville wasn’t done scoring in the opening quarter, though, as Tamarius Wilkey found the endzone from just two yards out to put the Tigers ahead 21-0 late in the first quarter. Adairsville’s offense continued to dominate early in the second quarter as Gough scored a 19-yard rushing touchdown. Wilkey added a 13-yard rushing touchdown to put the Tigers ahead 35-0 as both teams entered the half.

In the third quarter, Adairsville continued putting points on the scoreboard as Wilkey scored an 8-yard rushing touchdown to put Adairsville up 42-0. Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe’s offense finally came alive late in the third quarter, scoring a short rushing touchdown to make the score 42-7.

The fourth quarter began with the Warriors tossing a short, touchdown pass to make the score 42-13, but missed the PAT. Adairsville would add a late, rushing touchdown to put the finishing touches on their victory. Adairsville had lost its previous two contests and had not won since August 25th. The Tigers, who once again have their eyes on the playoffs, got back on the right track with the dominant product many expected tonight.

The Tigers will be back in action next Friday night as they travel to take on the Ringgold Tigers at 7:30 PM. You can hear the game by streaming the Adairsville Sports Network.
