Adairsville, Georgia-According to Interim Police Chief Arnold E. Gillman, on July 31st, 2014, Adairsville police detectives were working in conjunction with Texas officials to secure the apprehension of Kacey D. Peterson, 37 of Katy, Texas. Peterson was wanted by Adairsville detectives for stealing a local resident’s identity and using his identity to fraudulently obtain goods and services.
Peterson is awaiting extradition back to Georgia to face Identity Fraud charges. Interim Chief Gillman stated that his agency takes identity fraud very seriously and that his investigators will track down those who will attempt to ruin a person’s life through this particularly heinous form of fraud.
