The Adairsville Police Department would like the public to be informed about the following in regards to 12-year-old Lavin Holloway:
Friday night, at about 7:45, Lavin Andrew Holloway was discovered missing. His father checked with his friends and neighbors and walked to all the areas he thought Lavin might be. At about 10:00, Lavin’s father notified Bartow County 911 and the Adairsville Police Department. The police department immediately entered Lavin as a missing person through the National Crime Information Center. The APD also sent out an all-points bulletin to all surrounding agencies. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has also been assisting with the case. Currently, authorities know that Lavin packed a backpack with 3-4 changes of clothing, his Wi-Fi-only cell phone, and possibly a pair of earbuds before disappearing.
People last saw Lavin wearing blue shorts, a gray sweatshirt, black Crocs or bright orange shoes, and a black ball cap. Lavin has short brownish blonde hair, is 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighs approximately 170 pounds, and is considered friendly and polite by all his neighbors and friends. If you see Lavin Andrew Holloway or have information about his whereabouts, please call 911 immediately.
In addition, APD is interested in speaking with Lavin’s mother, Mandy Goins, to obtain more information about Lavin.
Overnight and throughout the day Saturday, various technologies and police and fire personnel have been used to search for Lavin. Assisting with the investigation are the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Dalton Police Department, Whitfield, Gordon, Murray, and Bartow County Sheriff’s offices, Chatsworth Police Department, Bartow Fire, Bartow County School System and School Police, and citizens.
