Twenty-four-year-old Blanca Estela Arteaga died in the three-vehicle that occurred north bound lane of I-75 near mile marker 289.  According to Georgia State Patrol reports, the crash involved two tractor-trailers and a passenger car.  A black 2014 Toyota Camry, driven by twenty-four-year-old, Blanca Estela Arteaga, of Rome struck the rear of a 1995 Freightliner tractor-trailer.  Following impact, the Freightliner tractor-trailer came to a controlled rest off the roadway. The Toyota Camry stopped in the right northbound lane of Interstate 75, with its lights not functioning.  A 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer traveling north in the right lane and struck the rear of the Toyota Camry. This second impact caused both vehicles to travel across the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 into the median.  Arteaga suffered fatal injuries. The crash report is incomplete. The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collison Reconstruction Team is assisting with this crash investigation.
