According to reports, on Thursday, April 18th at 7:18 a.m., Georgia State Patrol Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 61 south of Aubrey Road. The initial investigation revealed that a silver 2001 Toyota 4Runner was traveling south on the Highway in the right lane. The driver of the Toyota failed to maintain a single lane by traveling off the right shoulder of the roadway. As the vehicle traveled off the right shoulder it began to rotate clockwise before overturning onto its driver side. As the vehicle overturned its top struck a utility pole. Following impact the truck continued overturning before reaching a final uncontrolled rest facing north. The driver of the Toyota succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
