Good morning, and welcome to a Monday edition of Bartow’s Morning News, bringing you the very best in local news, weather, traffic and sports on your award-winning community radio station.
We have two guest segments today. At 7:40AM, we begin with our Coaches Corner interview, where we talk with Coach Eric Bishop of the Adairsville Tigers. We’ll talk about the Tigers’ win at home against Coahulla Creek by a score of 42 to 16. Then, we talk about their third seed placement in post-season play and discuss their first round opponent in the playoffs, where they travel to the White County Warriors from region 7-AAA.
Then, at 7:50AM, Roberta Green, Executive Director at Bartow Health Access will join us to discuss Georgia Gives Day. The mission of Georgia Gives Day is to inspire individuals to donate to participating nonprofits with the goal of raising as much money as possible within a 24-hour period. GAgivesday.org makes donating easy by organizing hundreds of nonprofits across the state onto one website, providing the information people need to select a cause or charity of their choice, and enabling online donations by credit card or e-check. Georgia Gives Day takes place on Nov. 13, 2013 – the day Georgians across the state will donate to the nonprofit of their choice.
Tune in for Fox News at the top of each hour, state-wide headlines from GNN at the bottom of each hour, and local news, weather, traffic and sports in between. It’s all here on your award-winning AM 1450 WBHF.
