Bartow County EMS responded along with Bartow County Fire Department responded to an accident on I-75 southbound near mile marker 291 Friday night. According to reports, a male was on the side of the roadway standing behind his vehicle when he and the vehicle was struck. Crews found a 40 year old male lying on the ground conscious and alert with severe trauma to both legs. The crew requested a medical helicopter due to the severity of the injuries. The patient was transported by Bartow County EMS to the landing zone and was then transferred to the helicopter. The patient was flown to Atlanta Medical Center.
