A Cartersville man is charged with causing an accident with injuries.

This crash occurred around 8:16 p.m. on July 15. A 2008 Honda Civic  was traveling southbound on I-75 in the left lane. A 2004 Nissan Xterra was traveling south on I-75 in the middle lane. A 1998 Ford Explorer was parked on the right shoulder of I-75 south. The driver of the Explorer was out of his vehicle on the shoulder. The Civic improperly changed lanes making contact with the left front of the Xterra. After impact the Civic spun clockwise making contact with the left side of the Explorer and the driver.

Oscar Eduardo Silva, 48, of Cartersville was driving the Civic. He was charged with DUI and Improper Turn/Improper Lane Change. No injuries.

Denise Rae Garlinghouse, 44, of Woodstock was driving the Xterra. No injuries.

Jeffrey Odell Tant, 40, of Cartersville was driving the Explorer. He was injured and airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center.
