Good morning! It’s time for a Friday edition of Bartow’s Morning News, bringing you the best in news, weather, traffic and sports on your award-winning community radio station.
We have three guest segments today. At 7:40AM, Joey King, head football coach with the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes, will call into our studios to discuss last week’s game against North Cobb. We’ll also look to another tough matchup on the road tonight at North Paulding, a game you’ll hear live on AM 1450 WBHF. We will also be real-time tweeting the game on our sports Twitter account — @WBHFscores.
Then, at 7:52AM, Paul Cuprowski, Director of Bartow Emergency Management Agency, will join us in studios to discuss severe weather preparedness month. Paul will discuss how the CERT program is the latest tool that can be utilized in the event of a weather emergency and we’ll find out what you should have on-hand in your own home in the event of a severe weather situation.
At 8:40AM, Trey Gaines, Executive Director with the Bartow History Museum, will join us in studios to talk about the current temp exhibit, focusing on the Civil War coming to Bartow County, the Tour of Oak Hill Cemetary and more.
