According, to Georgia State Patrol Reports, the accident occurred Saturday at approximately 6:02 a.m. when a Bartow County Deputy was traveling southbound on Old GA Highway 61. The deputy drove through a guard rail leaving the roadway and traveled down an embankment and into a ditch. There was only a single vehicle involved in the crash with only minor injuries reported.
