First responders were called to two accidents on I-75 northbound between mile markers 296 and 297 on Tuesday afternoon.

The first accident involved a truck that had struck the inside guardrail. The male driver of the truck was conscious, alert, complaining of back pain, and transported to Cartersville Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

The second accident involved a tow truck striking a tractor trailer. The male driver of the tow truck sustained facial trauma and arm injuries. He was transported to Floyd Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
