It has been a tough weekend in Bartow County, headlined by a dangerous vehicle pursuit Saturday night. The BCSO pursuit of a stolen truck out of Paulding County led to the suspect almost hitting a small passenger car head-on at State Route 293 near Emerson at over 100 miles-per-hour. The suspect also hit speeds of up to 94 miles-per-hour through Red Top Mountain State Park. The suspect fled on foot after ditching the truck off Bartow Carver Road.

A man allegedly threatened to shoot a complainant in a home on Pine Drive in Acworth and shot a wall in the residence Sunday morning. That case is under investigation.

The BCSO arrested Franklin Morales for aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts after allegedly chasing someone with a knife and threatening to kill her at a residence on Young Street in Cartersville Saturday night.

A suspect broke a wooden post off the front porch of a residence on Centerport Drive in White Saturday night and struck someone in the back of the head. The victim is alright.
