A data center is being proposed for an area of Highway 411 in Kingston.  The Development of Regional Impact identifies the project as the Kingston Technology Hub. The proposal is for a 350,000-square-foot data center on approximately 559 acres, with an estimated $1 billion build-out and a target completion date of 2030.  The project is expected to generate $2 million dollars annually in tax revenues.  The site is located near the Hyundai-SK battery facility.

The paperwork recognizes Thor Acquisition as the developer. Thor Equities is a New York real-estate investment and development company.  The DRI submission does not identify a future end user or establish additional phases.

The data center is seeking power through a MEAG Power request-for-proposals process, with approximately 150 MW of capacity.  The facility would require approximately 50,000 gallons of water per day, with roughly 3 miles of additional water infrastructure. It is projected to employ about 50 full-time workers.  The project would generate 350 tons of solid waste annually.  The data center would seek power through a MEAG Power Request for Proposal and require 150 megawatts per day.

The property owners are listed as Robert Cha, Silvana Cha, Christine Cha Choe and Christopher Cha.

This project would require rezoning from the city of Kingston.   Thor Acquisition is also requesting variance, sewer, water certificate, of occupancy, tree removal and business license.

According to Data Center Dynamics online.com this company previously announced a data-center acquisition for Pegasus Parkway for a 506,000 square foot building   on a 271-acre tract in LaGrange.  Earlier this year, Google confirmed in April that it was developing the data center in LaGrange.  Thor Acquisition is no longer involved.
