On Saturday, February 15, 2014, agents and personnel with the Atlanta FBI Field Division, Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force, Floyd County Police Department, Polk County Police Department and Bartow County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals on federal firearms and explosives related charges.

According to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap and Cartersville Police Chief Tommy Culpepper, in a joint operation, law enforcement officials executed a federal search warrant in Floyd Countty and arrested three individuals related to the search warrant in Bartow County.

Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force Commander Captain Mark Mayton said the three individuals taken into custody are currently being held in the Bartow County Jail pending federal charges and potentially local state charges. Captain Mayton said that the search warrant and arrest were the result of an FBI initiated case and that all agencies involved are still actively working the case. Captain Mayton said that the federal search warrant is still ongoing and more charges are anticipated. Additional details will be provided as they develop and the case moves forward.

Update: Three Romans were arrested today on federal firearm and explosive charges today as part of the FBI Atlanta operation.
The suspects are: Terry Eugene Peace, age 45, Brian Edward Cannon, age 36,and Cory Williamson, age 28, of Rome, GA (previously from Pennsylvania)

Previously posted: FBI Atlanta has arrested three North Georgia individuals on federal firearms and explosives related charges today after an earlier FBI led operation in the Cartersville/Rome, Georgia area that included FBI SWAT, Floyd County PD, Rome PD, and both the Bartow County and Cartersville police, among the agencies invovled.  A federal search warrant is currently underway.  More charges are anticipated and additional details will be made available in the next few days as this matter moves into the court system.
