The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday afternoon that a missing Cartersville girl was found safe and returned to her family. Sarah Wigington, who was located in Villa Rica, has been returned to her family.
Reports emerged on Wednesday morning that the missing child was last seen at the Wal Mart Super Center around 4 AM on Tuesday and left with two men who live in Carrollton and Villa Rica leaving the area in a black 2003 Acura MDX SUV. The Bartow County Sheriff’s Department said the girl ran away from her home in Cartersville during the night, which is something she has never done before, according to family members.
