Bartow County, GA (May 28th, 2024):  On Sunday, May 26th, 2024, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Patrol deputies were dispatched to 960 Joe Frank Harris Parkway (Piedmont Hospital) in reference to a man who reported to the emergency room with a gunshot and stab wound. The initial investigation determined the incident took place at 6626 Wagon Wheel Drive Acworth, Georgia.

The 32-year-old victim told deputies he was shot, stabbed and then beaten by several subjects while being held against his will. The victim was able to identify the subjects involved. After the assault the victim told deputies he was allowed to leave. Deputies, investigators and members of the Special Operations unit went at 6626 Wagon Wheel Drive and secured the scene.

After the scene was processed and the incident further investigated, five persons were arrested and booked into the Bartow County Jail.

Jaleyne Elymar Vivas-Blanco, 20, of Acworth, charged with: Criminal attempt to commit murder, Aggravated assault, Aggravated Battery, Kidnapping, False imprisonment, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Tampering with evidence.

Jerry Scott Taylor, 42, of Acworth, charged with: Criminal attempt to commit murder, Aggravated assault, Aggravated Battery, Kidnapping, False imprisonment, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Tampering with evidence, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Austin Reed Sedlaczek, 24, of Acworth, charged with: Criminal attempt to commit murder, Aggravated assault, Aggravated Battery, Kidnapping, False imprisonment, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Tampering with evidence, Obstruction
(misdemeanor).

Micheal Charles Wade, 33, of Acworth, charged with: Tampering with evidence (felony).

Stephanie Lynn Holbrook, 52, of Cartersville, charged with: Tampering with evidence (felony).

According to Sheriff Millsap, all parties knew each other and no further arrests are expected at this time. Though the victim was seriously injured, he is expected to survive the incident.
