Bartow County EMS, Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department, and Cartersville Fire Department responded to an accident involving numerous motorcycle on U.S. 411 just north of I-75 on Saturday afternoon at around 12:13.

Crews found five patients. Two of them had severe injuries, requiring two medical helicopters. The first patient was a male that had abdominal and chest trauma with possible internal bleeding. He was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital. The second was a female with a fractured pelvis. She was flown to Atlanta Medical Center.

The third was a male with shoulder, knee, and back pain. The fourth was a female with back and rib pain. The fifth was a male with ankle pain. Those three were taken to Cartersville Medical Center.

Numerous other motorcyclists involved in the accident did not want to be transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The accident resulted in U.S. 411 being shut down for a short period of time.
