The remains of a body found in Allatoona Lake is believed to be that of a missing Smyrna woman.
The body was found on Sunday around 12:30 in the afternoon, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. 55-year-old Rhonda Tibbs was last seen on the dock at the Marina late Friday evening. Officials were not sure if she had been in the lake, but they were using sonar equipment over the weekend.
Law enforcement is currently investigating the incident.
