The Cartersville Farmer’s Market is well underway for the 2015 season. The Cartersville Downtown Development Authority has organized several added activities and events to draw the public to the Farmer’s Market. The Cartersville Farmer’s Market Zucchini Festival will take place on Saturday, June 25th, at the Founder’s Oak Parking Lot (across from City Hall).

Kids’ activities will begin around 10 AM and will include coloring activities and a zucchini painting station. There will be a zucchini contest for the vendors. The categories will be: best zucchini bread, biggest zucchini, and most unusual zucchini. “We need the community to come out to the Farmer’s Market and help us judge these delicious, locally produced zucchinis,” says Special Events Coordinator Hollie Duncan.  “Zucchinis are finally in season, and what better way to enjoy them than at the Zucchini Festival.” Vendors must turn in entries by 9:30 AM. Voting will be open from 10-11 AM.

“After tasting all of these delicious zucchinis, you are sure to want to take some home with you. So bring the whole family to the Cartersville Farmer’s Market on June 27th and Buy Fresh, Buy Local.”
