ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help YANMAR America Corporation, a global company based in Osaka, Japan, recruit a number of manufacturing workers for its facility in Adairsville.

The recruitment will be held Thursday, August 27, from 3-6 p.m., at the Adairsville Church of God located at 297 Old Dixie Highway, S.E.

The company is recruiting design engineers, quality control engineers, field service technicians, assemblers, warehouse associates and material handlers.

YANMAR produces diesel engines, agricultural and construction equipment and gas engines for energy systems.

Applicants for the design engineer positions must have a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and at least five years of experience as an administrator in design engineering.

Quality control engineers must have an associate of applied science or bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field, and at least three years of quality control experience.

Applicants for the remaining positions must have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma. The experience requirements are as follows: at least five years for field service technicians, one year for assemblers and warehouse associates, and no experience for material handlers.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. The company will conduct background checks and drug-screening tests on selected applicants.
