Life Flight transported a 9-year-old for emergency medical care following a three-vehicle accident earlier this week. On Monday, October 9, 2023, at 5:26 pm, Troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 61 at Old Alabama Road in Bartow County. According to Georgia State Patrol reports, a black Chevrolet Cruze was stopped at the stop sign on Old Alabama Road, waiting to turn left onto Highway 61 South. A Silver Hyundai Sonata was traveling north on Highway 61, approaching Old Alabama Road’s intersection. Meanwhile, a silver Lexus RX 350 was traveling South on Highway 61, waiting to turn left onto Old Alabama Road. The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze turned left, striking the side of the Hyundai. This impact caused the Hyundai to strike the side of the Lexus. A 10-year-old passenger in the Hyundai Sonata was seriously injured and transported to Scottish Rite Hospital by helicopter. Officials say there are currently no further updates on injuries right.
