A Facebook post made on Monday morning stated that there was an ambulance at Woodland Middle School, and in the comments portion of this post it was alleged that a student had stabbed another student. We received the following statement from the Bartow County school system after requesting information on this incident.:

In a concerted effort to keep our families as informed as possible, we want to address an incident that occurred on campus today. In the morning hours, school administrators were notified of a male student who hit another male student in a restroom with a pair of scissors. The suspect was quickly contained, and the victim was treated for minor injuries. Strict disciplinary action was taken, and charges could be forthcoming. A rigorous investigation was conducted, and we appreciate our school community for its support and patience as we work to maintain the safety and security of our award-winning school.

The release also stated that there would not be any further information released before or after the Bartow County School Board meeting on Monday February 6th. When more information becomes available in regard to this incident, we will update this story.
