Boyd and Payne were found guilty of felony murder, first degree cruelty to children and aggravated battery. They were found not guilty of malice murder. One year old Journey Cowart died in January of 2014. She received injuries to her head, stomach, legs, arms and ribs. A group gathered in front of the courthouse Wednesday as the verdicts were read.
