We have more information the fatal crash that occurred in Bartow Friday morning.  The Georgia State Patrol Office received the call at 5:59 a.m. Initial indication is that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on GA 61. A pedestrian was walking off the west side of the roadway.  The vehicle traveled across the southbound lanes and off the west side of the roadway, striking a sign with the front of the vehicle.  After impact, the vehicle struck the pedestrian and then a tree. The pedestrian, Thomas Lee Brock, 45, of Cartersville, was fatally injured. The driver of the car, Norman Phillip Barr, 63, of Acworth, was injured and airlifted to Grady Hospital.

Charges are pending the completion of the GSP Specialized Collison Reconstruction Team follow-up investigation.
