A man accused of killing 4 people and injuring another in Rockmart Thursday night has ties to Bartow County. The Rome News-Tribune is reporting that a stolen Ford truck driven by 27-year-old Daylon Delon Gamble, was found in Bartow County Friday morning. According to Bartow County jail reports, he was jailed in August and September of 2017 for probation violation. The intake report lists 9 Cross Street, Cartersville as his address. WBHF reached out to Cartersville Police for more information, they referred us to the GBI. GBI officials say Bartow residents should remain vigilant.
According to a press release, at approximately 8:01 pm, Polk County 911 reported two separate double homicides at 503 Williamson Street and 319 Rome Street in Rockmart, GA.
Daylon Gamble also shot a fifth victim who was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center and is being treated for his injuries. He stole a Ford Truck which has been recovered and fled both crime scenes. He is considered armed and very dangerous and is actively being sought by local, state and federal authorities at this time.
