On Saturday, Bartow Couty EMS responded to an incident at Shaw plant 15 on Highway 411 to a male trapped in a machine. According to Bartow County EMS Pubilc Information Officer Brad Cothran, the man had no signs of life upon the crews’ arrival. The man was identified as 56-year-old David Holland of Aragon. The incident is currently under investigation.
Susan Farris, a Shaw Industries spokesperson, issued this statement:
A Shaw associate died tragically on Saturday in an accident during routine maintenance at Plant 15 in Cartersville, GA. The health and safety of Shaw’s associates is our top priority. Shaw will be conducting an investigation into the matter. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of our associate.
