The identity of a man killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday in Bartow has been released. Bartow County coroner Joel Guyton says 37-year-old Kyle Steeleman of Cartersville died in the accident. The crash occurred on Bishop Road near Oakridge Drive. According to Georgia State Patrol reports, the crash occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m. when a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Steelman left the road for unknown reasons. The Yahama entered the east lanes of Bishop Road. In doing so, the left side of the motorcycle struck the left side of a Kia Optima, which was traveling east on Bishop Road. Following initial impact, the motorcycle re-entered the west lanes of Bishop Road, then left the roadway along the north shoulder. The motorcycle traveled 25 feet, then struck a culvert; Steeleman was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Cartersville Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
