The Adairsville Tigers pounded out 17 hits in the game and rallied for eight runs in the sixth inning Thursday night for a come-from-behind 12-10 win at Rome, for its first win of the season.

Adairsville led 2-0 until Rome posted four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Tigers tied the game in the top of the fifth, but the Wolves scored again in the bottom of the inning to go back up 5-4.

Trailing by a run, Adairsville scored eight runs in the top of the sixth to take a 12-5 lead and then held on for the win. Halen Huskins and Kyler Pelfrey had three hits each and three combined RBI’s for Adairsville. Sam Seaman and Justin Green had two RBIs each.

Adairsville is now 1-5 on the season.

Woodland pitcher Trenton Harrison tossed a complete-game three-hitter Thursday afternoon in Lindale to shutout the Pepperell Dragons, 11-0, in six innings.

Harrison — who also went 3-for-3 with a homer, a double, a walk and three RBIs at the plate — needed only 75 pitches in his victory. He did not issue a walk and struck out eight Dragons.

Cauy Williams and Jacob Frye also had big days at the dish for the Wildcats. Williams went 4-for-4, scored a run, and drove in five runs with a home run and a double of his own. Frye was 3-for-3 with a walk and three RBIs.

Woodland is now 8-1 on the season
